In the absence of Assistant Engineer, he/she is responsible for the assignment of job/task to Duty technician and ensures that such completed to the standard so established by the hotel.Collects approved work order sheet from Assistant Engineer and ensures that the work/task as described in the work order is carried out expeditiously and adequatelyOn completion of the work/task, he/she completes the work order form by providing information regarding date/time, material used etc, as provided in the form.Ensures that all plants/equipment and utilities logging accurately.Received instructions from the Assistant Engineer on job priorities and attends to guest on engineering complaints as so directed by the Duty Engineer.Conducts and performs Planned Preventive Maintenance in accordance to pre-established PPM schedule.

Reporting to the Security & Safety Manager, the incumbent is to ensure the safety and security of associates, guests and items in the hotel, and must always maintain the highest standards of security for all concerned while adhering to standards required by the Hotel. Carry out cleaning of windows, walls, glass panels and all furniture and fittings in the public areas and offices. Maintain the cleanliness of the washrooms in the public and service areas and replenish any items in the washrooms. Clean and maintain all assigned areas in accordance to the standard operating procedures of the Hotel by ensuring that all service areas and equipment used are cleaned and maintained at all times.

Allocate rooms to Room Attendants, update system for status of rooms, check cleaning standards in all guest floors and rooms and ensure that they are up to the desired standard of the Hotel. Control and maintain housekeeping supplies at par levels and handle the inventory of all items in the Housekeeping department. Organize linen stock inventory and inform of any discrepancy of linen.Review incoming calls to the Housekeeping department and manage distribution of tasks to relevant associates or departments.Handle and inspect all VIP rooms.

Report telephone faults promptly.Have thorough and detailed knowledge of hotel’s facilities and hours of operation to ensure correct response to guests’ questions. Have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures, ie, fire, evacuation, bomb threat etc.Identify VIP, regular guests and long stay guests and build rapport to offer personalised services. Ensure guest needs and reasonable requests are met. Seek opportunities to continually improve guest services. Report to Duty Manager if encounter guest’s complaints or receive negative feedback. Adhere to hotel’s security and emergency policies and procedures. Perform any other task and duties that may be assigned by Front Office Manager from time to time.

Greet all arriving and departing guests with a smile and eye-contact.Deliver and collect baggage for arriving and departing guests and groups.Give guest an introduction to the facilities in the guest rooms, i.e. air-conditioning control, light switches, Safe box, TV, telephone, wardrobe, etc. when bringing guests to the room.Deliver messages and handle requests and queries from guests.Deliver mail, faxes, messages, packages, flowers etc promptly to guest rooms.Record all delivery to guest rooms.Deliver any in-house items or documents to the various departments in the hotel.Run errands for guests when requested.Pay careful attention and provide prompt assistance to guests with disabilityAccept baggage that guests may wish to keep in storage, issue claim ticket and write it in the Record Book accordingly.Have thorough knowledge of all hotel facilities and services, in order to be able to respond to guests’ queries accurately and professionally.Answer the telephone in a prompt and courteous manner.Maintain and upkeep all operating equipment, ensuring that they are in good working order.Cultivate good working relationships within Front Office and other departments.Deliver high quality service to guests.Ensure guest needs and reasonable requests are met.Assist in keeping the lobby area clean at all times.Carry out other tasks and assignments as directed by superior from time to time.
