Reporting to the Modality in-charge, the radiographer is responsible for the providing prompt diagnostic imaging services to the patient, ensuring patient safety and proper care of equipment. His/her role is also to ensure compliance to Ministry of Health regulations, international patient safety goals and to achieve high quality patient care service. This includes daily routine radiography operations and works that include general diagnostic x-ray imaging, portable (ward), theatre and emergency radiography to provide timely, quality, accurate and reliable diagnostic test results to the clinicians for patient management.
Job Responsibilities*
You will be responsible for the following:
- Assist senior, principal radiographers and/or supervisor in managing the daily operations and provide clinicians with timely and reliable diagnostic imaging results.
- Assist senior, principal radiographers and/or supervisor in administrative function such as maintaining inventory, quality control and equipment calibration records.
- Keep abreast with NUHS vision and mission goals, align all activities to achieve the objectives accordingly.
- Ensure proper documentations for traceability and in adherence to good documentation practices.
- Resolve or escalate customer’s complaints appropriately and perform service recovery while constantly seeking to improve service by obtaining feedbacks on the ground.
- Communicate and present findings and report workflow anomaly to supervisor in a timely fashion.
- Perform imaging procedures independently in an accurate, efficient, courteous and professional way.
- Prepare equipment and materials as required. Perform and record Internal and External Quality Controls and troubleshoot in accordance to work instructions / protocol.
- Ensure compliance to hand hygiene, workplace safety, International Patient Safety Goals (IPSG) and other applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements of the diagnostic imaging facility.
- Observe strict NUHS personal data protection act and observe internet/intranet cybersecurity guidelines.
- Assist supervisors in evaluation of new imaging protocols or services.
- Perform other functions as delegated by supervisor.
